Have Questions? Find Answers.

How many people can come on the trip?

Up to 5, for larger parties inquire about multi boat trips.

Are we required to wear life jackets?

All children under 12 are required to wear an approved non inflatable life jacket at all times. If we are fishing within 800 feet of a dam then everyone on board will be required to WEAR a life jacket. Automatic inflating life vests will be provided for everyone over 12 years of age.

How many fish can we take home?

For most species I am willing to keep (and clean) up to a legal limit of fish. My only exceptions are for trophy striper and catfish (over 15 pounds); we will release all trophy fish unless they are not expected to survive being released for whatever reason.

How much is the deposit?

The deposit is $100 per day booked. If multiple boats are booked then the deposit is $100 per boat per day booked. Deposits are NON REFUNDABLE; however reschedules are allowed up to ten days before the trip, any reschedule or cancelation inside of ten days of the planned trip date will forfeit the deposit.

Are we required to have our own fishing licenses?

Yes you are required to have your own fishing license. Purchase your license at the link below.

What should we bring on the boat?

Please no aerosol sunscreen on the boat (it dissolves reel handles and other soft rubbers), you can put it on before, or use rub on once we are on the boat.

I will have plenty of ice, bottled water, and cooler space, but other drinks, snacks, food, and sunscreen are your responsibility. Fishing can be work, often in the heat and sun. Please dress accordingly and bring extra water, snacks, and sunscreen, more than you expect to need.

You can bring alcoholic drinks if you like, but nothing stronger than beer/ high noons/ seltzers please, and CANS ONLY. I do reserve the right to ask you to stop drinking if that becomes necessary (I’ve never had to in my tenure of guiding so far).

Can we bring our own tackle?

You can bring your own tackle if you like, but I reserve the right to ask you to use the provided tackle if it offers distinct advantages.

What age are children allowed on trips?

Children 6 and up are welcome, any younger and we’ll need to discuss the specifics of the trip to make sure it will be safe and fun for everyone. For most young children short trips (4 hours) are better, but that’s up to you.

What happens if the weather is bad on the day we are scheduled to fish? What about rain?

If it’s just rain, especially in summer, we will still fish. If it’s more than just rain, then we will discuss options in the days before including rescheduling to a later date.
